I am pleased to present my arrangement of Sergei Rachmaninoff's "Dissonance," Op. 34, No. 13, for solo piano. This exquisite song, part of Rachmaninoff's "Six Songs," Op. 34, showcases his exceptional gift for blending lush harmonies with poignant melodies. "Dissonance" is a compelling exploration of emotional depth, capturing the tension between dissonant and consonant elements with Rachmaninoff's characteristic sensitivity and richness.
In arranging this piece for solo piano, I aimed to preserve the essence of Rachmaninoff’s original song while adapting it to the piano's unique timbral and expressive capabilities.
